Contemplations and Relaxation

[ My partner took this picture and by the looks of it, I was thinking about random things as per usual]

Today has been yet another lazy Sunday. I've contemplated doing many things but spent most of the day wandering round town and generally being lazy.

I did manage to pick up some lovely little items that I'd love to share with you:

I love this little jumper that I bought from Primark. It cost me £10 and I'm very impressed. The use of bold colours are great for the up coming months and although I'm not American, I love the American Flag design.

Yet again, it's another fab find from Primark. Time to get them straw hats ready and hit the hillsides. I love this checked little bandeau top. They also have dress versions but this suits me a lot better due to my height. Not too bad for £7.

I have to say, I stand by what I said in my last post, Primark has definitely upped their game in the latest season and it i yet again becoming a triumph for quick fix fashion on a low budget. This little peach top is really cute and it's the perfect colour for the summer.

The Perfume...

So hooked on Carmella - Benefit

I love the new Chloe perfume and I've asked my to get it for my birthday but I wanted to treat myself before then, so I went to town and looked around.

I walked into Boots the other day and spent forever looking at perfumes, my poor partner was bored out of his mind. As I was walking out, I popped by my local Benefit counter, decided to try some of their products and fell in love with "So hooked on Carmella". The box that it came in

The scent reminds me of walking into an old sweetie shop and the old vanilla and rhubarb sweets that you could buy. That may sound weird but it smells divine. It's a mix between everything sweet that you love, with a floral essence.

The bottle is small but cute, has a vintage-esque design and resembles a cocktail shaker.  It would look perfect in any fashionista's handbag and I'm so happy that I bought this product. I have always had a passion for Benefit products and yet again, they have failed to disappointment me and I'm already planning my next purchases.

My New Sunnies

The weather has been lovely and bright in Yorkshire today and I've finally had the chance to wear my favourite sunnies that I bought in Primark.

After having my hair coloured yesterday, I also bought some brand new extensions. I know lots of people who absolutely hate them and lots of people that really like them and I have to say, I cannot live without them. My hair is quite fine and I love the long lengths and the volume.

I also bought this lovely No7 Blemish stick with my £5 Boots voucher. The product is lovely, creamy and blends really well. It would have cost £8 without the voucher and I would be more than happy to spend that much on this product in the future.

Costume Jewellery Love Affair

I've always been the type of girl that cares more about handbags than shoes and never really cared too much about accessories...until now. I've never really been attracted to it. Whilst everyone I know has been swooning over Pandora bracelets, I've been checking out handbags and dresses and generally not thinking too much about jewelry. I would wear the odd piece but its never really fascinated me.

The necklace in the above picture changed everything. It's a pearl necklace that my Granddad bought my grandma when she was really young, approximately 70 years ago. It has been about 8 years since my Grandma passed away and my mothers had this necklace in her draw. I was wearing my chiffon top that I will be adding later in the post and I wanted something to dress it up. I slid this necklace on and I realised that I needed more jewelry. Since then, I've gone jewellery mad! It doesn't matter whether your jewelry is £1 or thousands of pounds, if it glams up your outfit, you're onto a winner.

I got these earrings off Ebay (brand new) for £1 and I love them. I also got the broach from Primark and the ring.

Here are a few of my favourite pieces from the high street:

My Favourite Things

Yet again, I've been a naughty girl and shopped far too much. It's so difficult when there are so many nice things on sale right now and even more when there's a lot of vouchers and discounts floating around. Here's a rundown of some my favourite things that I have recently bought.

Floral Dress
I picked up this floral dress in House of Fraser the other week and I'm in love.

Clinique Mini's

I think I'm all stocked up for summer. I decided to buy yet another Glamour magazine yesterday, because I wanted to try the moisturising lotion. My verdict? It's okay but it's not my favourite Clinique product. I applied it and I didn't feel much different apart from having moisturiser on my face. Maybe if i tried it a little more I would get some better results.

The little pink tub is Clinique's "All About The Eyes". I adore this product. I got this sample pot a few months ago but I recently found it again this week. I thought since I was showing you all the other travel sized Clinique  products I would get it out. You apply this product, lightly under the eyelids and it's supposed to make you look wide awake. I have to say that it does exactly what it says for me and I'm so glad I found it.

No7/ Ruby and Millie Vouchers

I should be getting annoyed with these because I've been spending far too much on cosmetics but I've been incredibly happy to receive them. I still have one more to spend in my purse but I'm hoping for my bank accounts sake, this will be the last...

Hollywood Hair Styler

Makeover tools are causing an internet sensation for people like you and I who are looking to change their style, but daren't take the leap. All you need to do is upload your photograph, follow the instructions then try on any celebrity hairstyle or makeup look you desire. It is a fantastic way to 'try before you buy' and see whether you will suit a particular look before visiting the hairdresser. The photographs do a little bit fake, but they really help give you a hint of what colours will suit and which you should probably stay away from. Check out how I got on using this tool...

From left to right

Natalie Portman

The first style I decided to go for was Natalie Portmans long brunette wavy hair. I've always been a fan of the actress and I love this particular hair colour. I really like this style on me and it makes my cheeks look warmer, but I'm not quite sure how it would look in real life.

Amy Adams

I have brunette for quite awhile now and part of me is tempted to go lighter. This Amy Adams suits me a lot more than I expected, but probably not enough to book an appointment at the hairdressers. Overall this is a little bit too light for me.

Rhianna
This Rhianna style is proof that I should never go red. The colour doesn't suit my skin tone at all and looks far too bright for my personality.

So why not try it for yourself?
It's free to use and you can colour your hair any colour without any regret.
