Bobbi Brown Masterclass

A few days ago I was invited to House of Fraser for a bloggers Bobbi Brown Masterclass hosted by the lovely Rina. Bobbi Brown has always been one of my favourite makeup brands as all their products are of such great quality and many of them evoke a vintage feel. Their Bobbi Brown Gel eyeliner is a saviour product for anyone that loves 50s style makeup and their highly pigmented blushes are colours a girl dreams of.

Rina got a group of us bloggers together to show us some of the makeup styles used at London Fashion Week and how we could incorporate them into our own daily makeup routine.

First, Rina prepped the skin using Bobbi Brown's Soothing Cleansing Oil, Hydrating Face Tonic, Hydrating Eye Cream and Hydrating Face Cream. These moisturisers have primers built in so that they are perfect for using under makeup - saving you time and making life easier.

For the base, Rina used a Corrector and Creamy Concealer to brighten the overall appearance of the skin and to conceal any under eye darkness. She then used the Skin Foundation SPF 15 in the correct skin shade of her client and set the base with a Sheer Finish Pressed Powder.

Rina then primed the eyelids using Long-Wear Eye base before sweeping White Eye Shadow all over the lash to brow. She then used the Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in Black Ink along the top lash line to create a 60s style look. Using Smokey Eye Kajal Liner in Noir, Rina lined the water line, before finishing off the eye with a coating of Smokey Eye Mascara. She then proceeded to define the brow with Mahogany Eyeshadow.

To complete the look, Rina finished the makeup application by using Pot Rouge in Uber Beige on the models  cheekbones and Rich Lip Colour in Uber Beige to give her a subtle coloured lip.

The model looked beautiful and really looked happy with the finished results and I was happy that I had the chance to learn how to do a different makeup look. The session taught me two things - one to invest in more Bobbi Brown makeup and secondly, to play around with my makeup more. I seem to have become stuck in a rut with my makeup routine and there are so many styles that I haven't tried yet.

Have you tried Bobbi Brown products before?
