I can't believe we're almost at the end of October. I've been dreaming about my trip to Amsterdam for last few months and it's finally almost here. In three days my husband and I will be jetting off to Amsterdam for a romantic weekend away together. The trip has come at a really good time as both of us have had a lot of stress in our lives over the last few weeks due to my ongoing health issues and we both need a much deserved break. I've been to Amsterdam several times before, but when I was too young to really experience it. The last time I visited Amsterdam was when I was thirteen on a cycling holiday with my parents. I don't remember much apart from thinking how pretty Amsterdam looked and eating lots of cheese. Amsterdam was also the place I need to thank for my ongoing obsession with mayonnaise. I used to hate it before I went to Amsterdam and now I cannot get enough of it, even though nothing quite compares to Dutch mayo. Although I've had the pleasure of visiting Amsterdam several times during my childhood, my husband is an Amsterdam virgin and I intend on showing him all the best bits of this beautiful city.
