ESPA Essential Cleansing Mask

ESPA are a brand that I have heard so many beauty bloggers rave about, salon therapists preach about and beauty fanatics swear by, but until recently I hadn't actually tried any of their products for myself. When my friend Lizi and I visited the Radisson Sienna Spa in Manchester over the weekend, both of us had facials and it was then that I was finally, after many years of wondering what all the fuss was about, introduced to ESPA and it was love from the first time the products touched my skin.

One product I particularly enjoyed and ended up purchasing was the ESPA Essential Cleansing Mask. The ESPA Essential Cleansing Mask is an intensely nourishing cleansing clay mask and according to the website is 'formulated to calm and clarify' the skin. The product uses Kaolin Clay and antiseptic Rose Geranium to clear impurities and excess oil, while the Rose Damascena and Marshmallow help soften, moisturise and nourish the skin.

During my skin evaluation at the spa, it took by shock to find out that I have combination skin rather than the dry skin I always thought I had. The therapist explained to me that my t-zone seemed rather oily whilst my nose and chin have dry patches. It made me realise that I probably haven't been using the correct skincare for awhile now and hence not seeing any results. Immediately after trying this Essential Cleansing Mask I noticed that my skin seemed brighter and had an even softness.

One of my biggest skin care bugbears are products that feel too heavy on the skin - you know, the ones that feel like they are instantly going to block your pores rather than revitalise your skin. This mask feels intensely rich when dabbed on your fingers but when it is applied to skin, it feels really light and nourishing. The product was easy to remove and left my face feeling radiant.

At £28 this product can be seen as rather pricey to some, but for me it's a great investment for my troublesome, often dehydrated skin. The product comes neatly packaged and oozes luxury, it's a great little payday treat.

Have you tried ESPA products before?
