Shoes can very easily make or break an outfit and they are often an overlooked part of most peoples wardrobes, including mine. I have always been a shoe lover, but my love affair with my footwear came to a sudden halt when the arthritis in my feet worsened and I could no longer wear many of my beautiful, expensive stiletto heels. Over the past few years the buzz of shopping for shoes has disappeared and I have been living in the same three pairs (mainly ankle boots) that I alternate for different occasions. A few weeks ago, EGO shoes contacted me to see if I would like to review a few pairs of their shoes and I leaped at the chance knowing that this may be the perfect opportunity to finally get me out of my style rut.
EGO shoes are an online brand that specialise in providing affordable trend-led footwear. Their website hosts hundreds of stylish designs suitable for every occasion from classy stilettos to daring mules, perspex heels for those who want replicate last years hottest trend to a variety of boots including floral ankle booties and thigh highs.
The first pair of shoes I chose were the black faux suede over the knee boots as I have lots of dresses that they would suit perfectly, including my favourite boho style French Connection in the top image. These boots are incredibly comfortable and I'm really impressed how wide fitting they are. The second pair of shoes I picked were the Ria Red floral embroidered flat mule which I equally love - they have the most beautiful oriental style design and they look great with jeans and the final shoes I picked were the Amina perspex heel in faux suede. I picked the Amina perspex shoes due to their wider heel as I thought they would be the most comfortable for my arthritis. I wore those shoes nearly everyday while I was away last week and my feet didn't even ache and they look incredibly stylish. I can't get over how great they look with all my different outfits and I know that they will become my go-to heels for nights out in the future.
Overall I'm really impressed with all my new shoes - they look great and what's even more impressive is that each pair are under £40. I will definitely be ordering from EGO again in the future and I'm finally glad to be feeling more confident about footwear collection again.
