Selfridges VIP Fashion Show

Last Thursday one of my blogger besties, Katie (Golddustblog) and I were invited to the Manchester Selfridges VIP Fashion night. We were treated to endless amounts of Champagne, delicious canapés and were able to mingle amongst soap stars whilst watching the Selfridges Autumn and Winter fashion show. It was a fabulous night with lots of beautiful outfits on show, lots of giggles amongst friends and the VIP treatment Selfridges gave us.

The catwalk showcased a variety of looks for men and women this autumn and winter, with basketball jackets and tailored suits being the most prominent trend for men and shift dresses, red leopard print, sparkles and Parisian chic being the most displayed outfits for women.

The catwalk started in a quirky way with models walking down the prestigious Selfridges escalators towards the crowds. There was an abundance of leather mini skirts and bright prints on the night as seen in the image above.

The Selfridges catwalk show also presented us with many Little Black Dresses available in store, proving that sometimes less is more and that every woman should be investing in a LBD this winter.

One of my favourite outfits of the evening was this gorgeous lace ensemble, complete with a little black bow to give it an air of Parisian Chic. Combined with a pair of simple black stilettos and a gorgeous little clutch bag, this outfit looked striking yet understated.

Following the red and black theme running through the evening was this rock'n'roll style outfit with a little red and black dress teamed up with a luxe leather jacket.

Like many fashion shows, the Selfridges team clearly left the best until last and all eyes were focused on this exquisite gold lace topped dress. This was the princess dress of the evening and the outfit all the girls wanted to wear. Selfridges definitely knew how to impress us all and tug on our purse strings. I think it's time I begin saving...

What's your favourite A/W14 trend?
