Bed Head's Dumb Blonde

After heavily colouring my hair for the last ten years, my tresses have finally lost their health and vitality. Years ago I used to have shiny long brunette hair that friends used to compliment, now I'm stuck bleached ends that split easily and very little shine. Don't get me wrong, I love my hair. Since opting for the 'ombre' trend my hair has a new lease of life. It looks jazzy, on trend and suits my skin tone much more than a block colour. But some days, I have to fight the temptation to go back fully brunette, because when I was fully brunette my hair shimmered each day and looked healthy.

I have always been a big fan of BedHead and I've been more than complimentary about their products on my blog in the past. When I worked as a hairdresser I would often find myself sneaking into the stock cupboard and playing with all the products. I love them.

Recently I was sent the BedHead Dumb Blonde shampoo and conditioner to review by the lovely people over at HairTrade*. The online company Hair Trade specialise in hair extensions, beauty products, fragrances, hair tools and haircare, stocking a variety of the most popular salon hair care brands. The BedHead Dumb Blonde range is for those that suffer from endless split ends from bleaching and colouring hair as well as those that are lacking vitality and shine. The BedHead 'Dumb Blonde' range according to the website promises to 'repair surface damage and strengthen hair, add shine and maintain colour vibrancy. It also protects hair from UV and thermal damage. Not only do I colour my hair, I also go swimming a lot where chlorine affects my hair and I heavily use straighteners and additional thermal hair equipement. The Dumb Blonde shampoo and conditioner has done wonders to my tresses, giving them shine and softness as well as distributing a heavenly berry scent throughout my locks that grabs attention. Whilst many people would not like to be associated with the controversially named term on this shampoo and conditioner duo, when it comes to the Bed Head range, I'm proud to be one of their Dumb Blondes.

Have you tried the Bed Head Dumb Blonde range before?

  5. I love Tigi, but admittedly I've never dyed my hair so these may not be that applicable. Although the conditioner may be good for the winter skiing holiday we have planned this year- exercise/outdoors always takes it toll on my hair after a while!

  8. I'd have just assumed, based on the name, that this was designed for blonde hair, but that doesn't seem to be the case? I might look out for them in that case, I always like to give my hair some TLC!
