Interview with Kiri Nails It

Nail art unfortunately isn't my strong point. As much as I spend hours practicing, within twenty minutes my nails are smudged or looking rather peculiar. Even though my nails look a wreck, I'm always fascinated by other peoples. I love the crazy designs that are out there and different forms of nail polish that are currently on the market.  To learn more about nail art, I thought I'd introduce you to a nail technician named Kiri Louise Hardiman. Her designs are unique, trendy and she has created tutorials for the likes of 'Video Jug' and 'My Daily.' Here's what she had to say when Forevermissvanity caught up with her.

Name: Kiri Louise Hardiman

Location: Hertfordshire

Are you a qualified nail technician?
Yes I have an NVQ level 2 in 'nail art' and am qualified in 'soak off gel polish'

Where did you learn to do nail art?
It is self taught. I did have to take a nail art course though to get insured...and on the back of that I completed my NVQ Level 2

What sparked your interest in nail art?
I am an artistic person and channeled this through nail art

Where do you get all your ideas?
I get inspiration from everyday things, seasons, fabrics and also other nail art I have seen

Do you have any celebrity influences?
Rihanna, Katie Perry, Zooey Deschanel, Kelly Osbourne

What do you love the most about nail art?
I love that you can be as wacky or as subtle as you like! Any colours, any shape nail, any design you like! And you can change your nail art as regularly as you like!

What has been your favourite piece of work?
My favourite recent piece of work was for a client who was going to South Africa, so on her finger nails I did a mix of tiger, zebra and leopard print, also lion foot prints and the South African flag. Then on her little toes I carried on the leopard and tiger print and on each of her big toes I created sunsets and the silhouttes of an elephant and a giraffe.

What has been your most exciting part of your career?
Recording nail art tutorials for 'Video Jug' and 'My Daily' has been exciting, also I had my own market stall in Watford's indoor market, which was exciting setting it up etc, sadly it didn't work and was better for me to be mobile, but I always say "nothing ventured, nothing gained."

Talk us through three of your favourite designs:

I created some 'new years eve' nails which were glitter tipped with a clear base. These were very striking. The glitter I used was holographic and I added some diamantes for extra bling

I like doing random nails. Where the nails are all different designs. This is especially good for a client if they cannot decide on one design!

I also like doing designs with letters on the nails. This way you can really personalise your nails!

What advice would you give to anyone wanting to pursue a career in the beauty industry?
Be persistent, nothing is going to happen if you sit there and twiddle your thumbs!
Set up a twitter and facebook page for your business, they are great ways of getting your info and pics across, and they are free!

You can check out Kiri's work on Pinterest or Facebook

What do you think of these designs?

Birthday Wishlist

Tonight, it finally dawned on me that my birthday is in 5 weeks and I need to get organised. I shall be celebrating this year in London with my beautiful fiance, where we will be staying in a hotel, going to see Rock of Ages and drinking cocktails all evening in the capital. I'm far too excited and going to London on my actual birthday means I can have my dream shopping spree. In this post, I thought I'd share with you some of the items I'm loving at the moment and my birthday wishlist. The majority of these items listed are things I shall be saving up for until the the trip, however I'm hoping that someone very close will give me a helping hand...hint...hint. (only joking...well maybe)

This year I'm going to be 22. I will be leaving my youth behind me and progressing to the next stage of my life. 21 has been my favourite year and I've experienced so many things I've always dreamt of. It's funny realising that I only have one more birthday after this one and I'll be married. This is my last year as an unmarried woman and I'm planning on doing as much as I can with my partner before we really settle down, start saving for a house deposit and living as husband and wife.

Back to the shopping list. Here's the items I would currently sell one of my kidneys for:
I'm not usually a scarf person, but lately I seem to be wearing them all the time. I've been a follower of AmeilaWonders Etsy shop for quite awhile and I've always wanted to order this scarf, but every time I remember it, I seem to have little money. I love the bright pink colour of this scarf and the cosmic design. It's vibrant and would make any outfit stand out from the crowd.
Michael Kors has always been one of my top designers and I can't get enough of my beautiful Michael Kors shoes. This Michael Kors watch is elegant, timeless and would look sophisticated with any outfit. I love expensive accessories more than I do expensive clothes. They can really revamp an outfit and they go with everything. I know if I was to get this watch, it would be something that I would wear nearly every day.

  • A Passport
It probably doesn't sound like the most conventional birthday present, but I really need to renew my passport and thanks to my parents, I shall be getting one in a few weeks time. I'm planning to travel to Ireland and Italy this year and hopefully lots more places too. Ideally, I'd like to visit Paris by the end of the year - I love that place.

My next collage of items are things I'm planning on buying myself. I realise that when I turn 22, birthday presents are pretty much out of the window, so I'm going to be spoiling myself. After all, we do deserve a treat on our special day. Here's a few things I plan on treating myself to on my shopping spree:
The 1950s is my favourite decade and all Jones and Jones dresses remind me of 50s icons. The petticoats are full bodied giving you those ultimate curves and they have great dance ability. I love the feminine styles, the colours and they would easily suit any body shape. The dress I want at the moment is the Claire mint dress as it's perfect for the spring and summer and easy to style.
  • Jimmy Choo Flash
In my valentines perfume post, I wrote about how much I would like this perfume and my birthday seems like the perfect opportunity to buy it. I find that all my perfumes relate to a pivotal point in my life and I tend to buy them when something is about to happen. Each of perfume symbolise a part of my personal history and I love the fact that I can relate so easily with the scent. The first Jimmy Choo perfume will always remind me of my friends wedding, Roberto Cavalli is the perfume I wore when I got engaged and Benefit Hooked on Carmella reminds me of my college days.
  • Pandora London Bus
When my partner bought me my Pandora bracelet, I couldn't wait to fill it with charms. However, I'm trying to only buy them when something important happens in my life. It makes it more personal and each charm will then have a story I could tell my future children or even my friends if they ever ask. London has always been one of my favourite cities and it's the place where I got engaged. Therefore, I shall be popping into Pandora and buying the London bus as a souvenir whilst I'm visiting.
  • MAC Archie Girl Lipstick
This lipstick is more likely to be one of my pre-birthday presents as I'm pretty sure it will be out of stock in the next few weeks. The MAC Archie Girl line is very popular with those who love vintage inspired items or something a little bit kooky. I think the whole range is absolutely adorable and if I could afford it all, I would buy it instantly. However, for now I'd definitely be happy with one of the lipsticks.

So there's my little wish list. I'd easily be happy with just one of those items, but I'm hoping one day to own most of them.

Do you have anything you're lusting after right now?

Ambition

As many of you will have already realised, I'm slightly obsessed with red lips and my red-lipstick-buying habit is showing no signs of disappearing. My latest little arrival was Lush's new lip paint, Ambition. Firstly, I have to say that the name of this product pretty much sums me up. I'm always ambitious - if not a little bit too ambitious. I have my head in the sky most of the day and will stop at nothing to secure a job in fashion PR. "You may say I'm dreamer, but I'm not the only one"...I couldn't help, but add the latter end of that sentence when I wrote it. If you haven't heard John Lennon Imagine, I suggest you Google it, although I'm pretty sure 99% of the population has done. A lot of my friends call me a dreamer, but to me, it's ambition. I know what I want and I'm always trying to figure out my way to get there. I want to prove that my dreams are a reality.

Red lipstick always ignites that confidence within me and when I'm doing a presentation or need a confidence boost, red lip paint is my best friend and that's the simple reason why I can't get enough of it. If you haven't tried Lush's new set of liquid lipsticks, you have definitely been missing out. They are easy to apply, totally vegan and a little goes a very long way. Ambition is such a powerful colour and highly pigmented, the picture does not do it justice.

The best aspect of the Lush Ambition is the fact that one little pot can give you a variety of colours. Simply apply more if you're wanting an instantly bright colour or apply very little if you're wanting something a little more subtle. If you want a softened colour, you can apply the Kiss Lip Gloss. The kiss lipgloss is probably one of my favourite new products - it never leaves my handbag. The product tastes like sweeties and adds a beautiful pink glow to your pout. It's perfect for those days where you're wanting to avoid heavy lip coverage and you're looking for something quite natural. The product also includes fair trade Shea Butter to keep your lips moisturised.

My only wish is that I had a Lush store closer to home, as it takes over an hour for me to get to the nearest one. Although, it could easily be a blessing in disguise, as I would probably spend half of my uni breaks shopping in there and dreaming of all things sweet scented.

For all of you unlucky ones like myself, there's always the Lush online store,  which never closes and sells all the products you could wish for. Why not pop a little bit of Ambition into your shopping cart? I know I will be doing when it runs out.

Have you tried Lush Ambition?

Khroma Beauty

I'm sorry for my recent blogging absence, with lots of university work on the horizon and a busy life scheduling driving lessons, wedding planning and of course the recent celebrations of valentines day, my blog has unfortunately bared the brunt of it all. However, I'm back and here's a post on the beautiful Khroma Beauty cosmetics line.

For those who have never heard of Khroma Beauty, it is the recent endeavour of the famous Kardashian sisters. The line has come under lots of scrutiny due to it's lawsuit on trademark infringement, but besides all the controversy  I think the beauty line is fantastic and value for money.

Shebang Palette
A few weeks ago, I was kindly sent a few preview items from the collection. There are various sites online that are selling the products, but currently there is no Khroma beauty UK website. The set I was given to review included: The Nude Lip Set, The Khroma beauty Kardazzle palette and Shebang eye set. The packaging is very glamorous and the colours are natural, yet sexy. There's a lot of glitters and colours that are perfect for those who love a Kim K smokey eye look and the eyelashes work well to amplify your eyes. I wore the eyelashes on Valentines day and they stayed on all night with no problems. In fact, they are probably the best eyelashes I have worn in a long time.

The product I've used the most from the kit is the Khroma Beauty Lipgloss and lipstick, which I'm wearing in the image above. The colour is so natural and gives the lips a glamorous glossed look. The gloss applies really well and isn't as sticky as most lip glosses I have used in the past. I tend to avoid lipsticks that are unnaturally sticky as food clumps or a 'trout pout' isn't always the best look. Unfortunately the lipstick does not live up to the same level as the lipgloss. I found that the built in lip liner broke very easily and the lipstick faded rather quickly. My opinion is very much split on this product as I love the way it looks, but I feel like not much effort has gone into making the product long lasting.

The next item is the Khroma Beauty Kardazzle set. This is probably one of my favourite little compacts due to it's handbag size and the beautiful array of colours. I quite like the snake skin effect on the lid, however I think some people could perceive it as tacky. It's all down to individual tastes on snake skin - I'm not fond of it on clothing, but it really helps this little compact have a glamorous appeal.

Khloe Kardazzle
The colours are all very natural and perfect for the spring season. There isn't a colour that I don't like and although the quality may be a little lacking, the colours very much resemble the Naked palette that many bloggers love. The Kardashian have clearly done their research into popular shades on the market. The compact has 8 eye shadows  two blushers and a highlighter.  I've heard many mixed reviews on the pigmentation of these products, but I think they are pretty good considering the price. Each of the shadows I have tried managed to last whilst I was out in town or having a full day university and the baby pink blusher is  such a gorgeous colour.

Khloe Kardazzle
The prices of these products vary from £15 to £20, which is rather affordable for a celebrity cosmetics line. For any fan of the Kardashian, I really would recommended this set. Each one of the sisters have used their trademark colours to bring you naturally beautiful cosmetics. If I had one little niggle about the line, it would be that the colours don't last as long as I would like, but then again, for £15 I wouldn't mind the odd reapplication. If you're wanting a little bit of Kardashian style in your makeup draw, go for it.

Would you try any of these products?

Setting the Scene 1, 2, 3

Listen up guys. I'm guessing a lot of you will have left your valentines day prep to last minute and are totally stressing out about what you should do this evening. Or maybe you have a special anniversary coming up and you would like to treat your partner? I have devised a setting the scene 1,2,3 plan to get you feeling all loved up this evening. This post features some of my current favourite candles, which one will you pick?

I love bath time and whether you're single or a couple, it's great to dive straight in and have a night of relaxation. Lighting candles can be rather therapeutic and really help you delve off into the dreams in which help you forget about the long stressful day you have just had. Fill the bath with some beautiful rose petals and light one of the Boux Avenue candles. The candles are £12 and burn for a relatively long time. The smell fresh, invigorating and offer a romantic sensation to bath time.

To help you really feel pampered,  you should really have a look at Ancienne Ambiance soaps. You can buy them in a variety of scents from Lavender to Honey and they smell and look fantastic. The scent lingers on your skin for hours and the cube stays perfectly formed whilst you wash. I had a pet hate against soaps that turn into putty after one wash and I guarantee these ones do not.  They are that little bit of luxury you need this valentines day. You can purchase a soap set for £16.

Next to the bedroom and the Marie Reynolds candle will be a well deserved treat. Not only does it smell of roses and seduction, but you can melt the oil and use it massages. This sensual candle ignites all the feelings of seduction and really proves a useful tool. I love the cute little box it arrived in and it's great for a mini present to a loved one. Maybe you should throw in a massage voucher too?

Finally, indulge your sense with this luxury vegan candle by Natural Empathy. I have placed this right in the centre of the table so I can dine by candlelight and enjoy the sweet aromas between courses. The candle is scented with sweet orange, geranium and chamomile and is made with a blend of ecofriendly natural wax suitable for vegetarians and vegans. The candle costs £25, but boasts a 60 hour burn time, meaning you will be able to spend many pleasant evenings accompanied by the glorious shimmer of candlelight.

Prepped For Valentines

Getting prepped for Valentines day is no easy task. It's the one day of the year that I always want to feel sexy and like arm candy for my husband-to-be as we take our seats at our regular favourite restaurant. Tonight we will be dining in candlelight, eating Thai food, which is of course my favourite.

My makeup look today is bold, yet demure. I'm wearing fake eyelashes with black cat flick mascara, coupled with relatively nude blushers and lipstick.

Stepping away from the makeup, my hair is one of my problem areas. It never does as it's told, so on Valentines day I know I have to be extra vigilant.  My approach this year was to invest in a good sturdy  brush and a small hair kit that would give me the thick, long and wavy tresses I desired for this evening.  Of course I'm wearing hair extensions, but it's important my own hair is in good health. When the rest of your hair looks hideous, hair extensions don't blend that well - especially when it comes to my hair.

This evening I used my new, really cute Denman brush that comes with a small lip balm covered in kisses. This brush will be taking place in my handbag tonight, as it's the perfect size for travelling and I would love to show it off. Durin my time as a hairdresser, I loved using Denman brushes on clients. they were an easy way to get straight, beautiful hair whilst blowdrying and also proved successful in getting knots out of girls with incredibly long, fine hair.

Denman Brush £7.31

My next fail safe hair kit was the Berber Oil hair mask and shampoo. The Berber Oil duo have argan oil in them that help restore dry and damaged hair. The hair mask can be left on for up to five minutes for extra shine, which has proved rather successful for this evening. Finally, the kit includes a lovely mini berber oil perfect for blowdrying and keeping away all the damage  My hair looks the healthiest it has been in a while. The Berber oil kit costs around £9.75.

I'm looking forward to my meal out this evening and feel incredibly glamorous  What are you doing for valentines day?

Monochrome

I've been a little bit obsessed with the mono chrome trend recently, but currently lack funds to be able to buy anything. Instead I have plummeted into a dream world, creating mini mood boards for when I finally get paid. When I saw the Kissing is Cool T-Shirt from New Love Club, I knew I wanted to try create an edgy, minimalist Valentines day outfit and here's what I came up with.

T-Shirt: New Love Club £25.00

The T-shirt is by a brand called New Love Club that was founded in 2009. The brand is distributed throughout stores such as: Selfridges, Topshop and ASOS, bringing you affordable yet edgy photography styled t-shirt designs. The slogan "Kissing is Cool" would be a great tongue in cheek motto for Valentines Day and great for those wanting to rock the grunge look.  The t-shirt is also unisex and great for your man to wear.

Blazer: River Island £45

I'm in love with white blazers at the moment and would do anything to get my hands on this beautiful River Island design. The blazer is very minimalist and would go great with any outfit. Black and white are totally on trend right now, so team it up with a skinny black vest and disco pants for a sexy, slimline look.

Disco Pants: TopShop £30

TopShop have so many amazing items right now and what's better is that they offer a really friendly student discount. Finally, something that I might be able to afford. These disco pants are striking and figure hugging, perfect for those wanting to exhibit their curves this valentines day.

Wedges: New Look £24.99

Stumbling over in front of your partner wearing six inch stilettos isn't the best look, so for those who are height conscious and need a mini boost this Valentines day, why not opt for wedges? Comfortable and stylish, you will easily be able to dance the night away. I love New Look for shoes, because they are affordable and have so many amazing designs. These wedges are the ones that I'm currently lusting for.

Hat: TopShop £20

I have recently become obsessed with hats and I don't know why. A few months ago, I would have said that hats make my head look big or that I wouldn't suit any hat in store. I can't get enough of them at the moment. There are so many styles to choose from and this little cream banded trilby would look great for someone trying to channel their inner rock'n'roll style.

What do you think of my outfit styling?

Valentines Essentials

Valentines day is just around the corner and I thought I'd introduce you to some items I would consider 'Valentines Essentials'. When it comes to the big day, you'll want to be pampered, primed and looking your absolute best for date night. Therefore it's essential those cracked lips are banished, those hands are soft enough to hold and that your skin smells like a bunch of roses.

QSilica Paw Paw Rescue Ointment - £8.95

QSilica Paw Paw rescue ointment is perfect for banishing those chapped winter lips. We have recently been exposed to so much cold weather, so our lips are probably not in the best condition. Chapped lipstick isn't a good look and trust me - I've been there, done that. The paw paw ointment has a mixture of active ingredients to help hydrate and protect against moisture loss,  moisturise the lips, help boost collagen levels and with calendula extract, it can help heal cracked or broken skin. The balm is multi-purpose and can be used on your lips. At £8.95 you can have a variety of skin care needs in just one bottle.

Green People Help is at Hand Gift set £12.95
My hands are always the first to show signs of the cold weather, often resulting in cracking skin and really sore finger tips. Having arthritis also means my hands can sometimes seize up, which isn't a pretty sight. Moisturising is one thing that helps my hands through the winter months and recently I've been finding the Green People Help is at Hand kit rather useful.  The set comes with two organic moisturise gloves and the product. When you go to bed, it's advised that you apply a generous amount of lotion and cover with the gloves. When you wake up in the morning , you're hands are refreshed and soft as a babies bottom. I love this little kit. It's a wonderful evening indulgence and I feel rather glamorous applying my lotions and potions. My hands are in such a better condition right now, but I admit, I always grow tired of evening routines so I'm hoping that I can stop being lazy and continue to see results.

Woods of Windsor True Rose Body Power £8.99

To complete your body/skin over haul, you should definitely check out Woods of Windsor true rose body powder. I'm a fan of anything vintage and this little product reminds me of something that would be on my grandmas dressing table. She always had such a fabulous range of cosmetics and skin care, definitely favouring the higher end products or bottles that had unique, pretty packaging. True Rose body powder looks like it belongs in a vintage ladies boudoir with elegant bottles and crystals. The packaging is classic and pretty and the product scent evokes a sense of a bed of roses.

So what do you think of the products? Would you try any of these?

Midi Love

Being short, I never thought I would pull off such a long dress. My height has always been one of my worrying spots, being only 5 ft 3, I have always dreamt of long super model legs that would make my whole body appear so much slimmer.

After purchasing my Topshop midi dress in September, I realised that long fitted dresses was not only for those tall and slim. My dress made me feel elegant, slimmer and gave the appearance of longer taller legs. The midi dress hid a multiple of sins and every since, I've been hooked on the style.

A few weeks ago, I was sent a press release for a company called Mee Mee clothing. In the description, it detailed their new line of midi dresses from sparkles to Aztec prints. Mesmerized by my new love of midi's, I knew that I had to try a new one.

For those who have never heard of Mee Mee clothing - think of trendy and fun clothing all at an affordable price. It's very reminiscent of Misguided and Fashion Union, both trendy urban street wear that is great for students. However, Mee Mee clothing has free delivery and a superb vintage collection for those who like to find items with character.

The Mee Mee dress I have fallen in love with is the Graphic Printed Midi dress at £18. The fabric is soft, stretchy and figure hugging. The dress feels like wearing a second skin, it's so comfortable. The dress can be styled up or down and simply looks great even if you're lounging around on the sofa after a long day at work.

I've been teaming my midi with my bright red blazer to make the colours stand out for an eye catching look.

There's so many amazing dresses at Mee Mee clothing and I can definitely see myself popping back for a sneaky purchase or two in the next few weeks.

What do you think of the dress?

Valentines Day Glamour

A lot of my friends seem to ask me: "What is all the fuss about valentines day?" Most of them don't see them don't see the point in it or use the same excuse: "Why use one day of the year to show someone you love them? It should be all year round." My answer is simple - I find Valentines day fun, exciting and really, a chance to dress up...and I'm not speaking kinky. I'm an old school romantic. I believe in sending love letters regularly, saying I love you before hanging up the phone, kissing in the streets and doing all the things that most people seem to moan about. Valentines day isn't an excuse to say I love you, we say that enough already, but it's an excuse to pretend you have only just started dating and you have the puppy love feeling all over again. If you could go back to your first date, would you change the outfit you was wearing? Have a different hair colour?  In the image above, I have compiled my perfect Valentines outfit. Due to a spending ban, unfortunately I wont be buying anything, but a girl can definitely dream.

Image taken from needthatstyle
1: The Dress

Figure enhancing, cleavage exposing and pin up girl-esque, this dress is simply to die for. I love the way the dress pattern focuses on the slimmest part of your stomach, whilst the horizontal lines emphasize those curves.

Available from: needthatstyle.com £99

2: Kandee Shoes

These red and gold Cherry lace Kandees will add an elegant touch to the outfit and a small bit of sparkle. You can't go wrong with a pair of trust Kandees - from my own personal experience, they are comfortable, reliable and make your legs look fierce. I've been longing for those shoes for so long, if only the shoe fairies would come visit me sometime soon.

Available from: www.kandeeshoes.com £169.00

3: The Necklace

The dress and shoes have such a vintage feel, so it would only be right to team the outfit up with a wonderful vintage style necklace. This Zara Taylor design is classic, sophisticated and would go with any outfit. Added to this dress, it would evoke a sense of  old Hollywood glamour and I'm sure Liz Taylor herself would have been happy to wear such an elegant neck chain. The best thing about this item is the fabulously low price of £20.

Available from: www.zarataylor.co.uk

4: The Clutch

At £35 this Aldo Gooder Jewelled Box Clutch bag is the perfect finishing touch to the outfit. The gold embellishments tie in nicely with the gold on the shoes, the necklace and goes fabulously with the red dress. The cream colour is subtle and does not overpower the outfit. I think the clutch is very charming, feminine and something that I would love to own. The nude colour would go with so many different outfits for many different occasions.

Available from: ASOS.com  £35

I'm seriously in love with this outfit. Red and gold really evoke a sense of love and lust, making this outfit a perfect choice for Valentines day.

If you love the dress as much as I do and have the budget to spare, Needthatstyle.com has kindly teamed up with Forevermissvanity to give all my readers a very generous 10% discount on the dress! This means you can grab the dress for £89.99, saving a fabulous £10! You could buy some makeup with your savings...although I probably shouldn't be giving you ideas.

Wedding Fever & Gay Marriage

Wedding Plans:

My dream wedding plans are truly coming into fruition. I've talked to my Dad's friend about potentially loaning me his 1960s car for my wedding transport, I've booked my venue and church and I still have over a year and a half until I get married. How organised am I? Today I decided to delve into more wedding dresses. I'm pretty sure you'll get bored of these posts eventually, but I'd like to think that my blog also can serve as an online diary that shows me wedding dresses that I have liked in the past - plus I get to share all my excitement with you, rather than annoying my friends 24/7.

Gay Marriage:
On the topic of marriage, gay and lesbian couples are currently under battle with the British government to allow gay marriage in the country. Parliament are currently in the voting stages and are receiving very mixed views. Like the majority of current day women, I have dabbled with my sexuality whilst sipping a bottle of my favourite alcoholic beverage and in my opinion, I see no difference to the love of a woman compared to a man. Everyone falls in love with the same sex at some point in their life, it's just not always full on. For example, as women, we idolise other women with perfect bodies and lust after them. Therefore, aren't we displaying a short display of bisexuality?  Love is love. We are all made to fall in love and respect other people, it's human nature. If two people decide that they fall in love with the same gender, why should we care? We live in a world with so much hatred and crime, we should be celebrating people that would like to be at peace and declare their love on a wider scale. After all, times have changed dramatically in the last century. Some women are now opting for designer babies, more and more people are changing their bodies dramatically with cosmetic surgery - who are we to say what is natural anymore? Love is natural, it's probably one of the purest things to come out of this world. So for any gay, straight, bi, pansexual, asexual follower of mine, know this - you are always welcome in the Forevermissvanity community.

Outfits:

Today, or rather this evening, I have decided to give you a mini run down of some wedding mood boards I've created. I was contacted by a lovely woman named Charlotte who pointed me in the direction of the new Phase Eight wedding collection and I thought I'd play around with some of their products. Here's some of my look books.
None of these images are my own

These mother of the bride outfits would suit my mum down to a tee, especially the one of the left. She is a lover of pink and likes anything floral. I like to think of the 'mother of the bride' figure as elegant, sophisticated and wise. I'd like her outfit to be approachable, friendly and subtly stand out. Mothers are supposed to have a caring appeal and I think floral patterns, baby pinks and light grey colours are definitely the way forward. I'm not too much of a hat person, but if someone would like to wear one to my wedding, I wouldn't object.

None of these images are my own
Sticking to my late 1950's, early 1960s theme, I've chosen these beautiful retro looking bridesmaid dresses to show you. The red one reminds me of a rock'n'roll type dress, whilst the other makes me think of 'Sandy' from Grease in her innocent days.
None of these images are my own

These bridal dresses have such vintage appeal, with lashings of vintage lace and trimmings. Unfortunately I've already fallen in love with another dress elsewhere, but these are fabulous contenders for anyone looking for a vintage style wedding dress.

None of these images are my own

Gay marriage isn't something I have any experience of, but I did not want to leave anyone out. I decided to focus more on blazers as a lot of lesbian weddings I have seen, the women who prefers to wear the dress (a lot of the time both) goes for the usual wedding dress types. I'm all for slim fitted, tailored wedding dresses for gay weddings. They really cling to the woman's figure showing off her best assets, whilst being simple, yet striking. The blazer on the left is by Ann Taylor, middle is by Next and the final blazer was picked from hertuxedo.com. I really love these blazers as they're really feminine and fitted, yet have a masculine appeal.

I hope you like all my choices. What do you think?
