Happy New Year Everyone
I spent New Years Eve amongst my wonderful friends which I haven't seen for a very long time. When I was upset (over something very silly) one of my best friends pulled me over and we had a 'heart to heart'. This made me realise that I need to spend more time with the people I care about this year. I have a habit of wallowing in my university work and going a very long time without seeing anyone, but my fiance. I'm not saying that I should slack off, but I really need to relax a little more. This year will be my second year of University and things will get harder, therefore I need an injection of fun in my life to help me get through the year.
A few of my old followers will remember that a year or so ago I created a posting entitled: '101 things to do in 1001 days'. It was one of those tag postings that all bloggers became obsessed with and religiously followed. I started my list at a very bad time in my life. I was on the verge of breaking up with my ex and I was suffering from depression. I've finally got over everything and over a year later, I have an amazing fiance who I love with all of my heart, a great support network and I'm enjoying my life. I finally feel on top of the world, therefore I decided to bring back a new version of the list and challenge myself in 2013. It also helps with you have a trusty side-kick to accompany you on your journey. Below is a photo of me and James having a meal with the family before Christmas. Neither of us look our best as this photo was sprung upon us, but I still love it.
This list will take longer than a year to complete, but as the old quotes say: " It's not about how fast you get there, but it's the fact you competed or stayed in the race." I have the fact that I would like to get married on the list, but my wedding isn't until 6/9/2014. My aim is to enjoy fulfilling my life and every little item I can tick off the list is simply a bonus.
Here's the list:
