The Rock Boutique

The Rock Boutique is a small independent brand that  originates from Camden Town in London. According to the brief history on the Rock Boutique blog, the company was created after spending several years selling rock band T-shirts on Ebay and the name followed the style of clothing. After their success in Camden Town, they are now trying to take the fashion industry by storm, already launched their line in the clothing store USC and have already exceeded 1000 followers on Facebook. I was kindly sent a few samples of their clothing to demonstrate and I have to say, I adore them!

The clothing tag states that they clothes you are buying are 'ethically made and responsibly produced', which means no child labour, unlike many fashion brands and the staff who put their time into creating these wonderful pieces are treated fairly.

To reiterate the opposite side of the tag, the products are designed with care and the garments are made using really good quality materials. These T-shirts are 100% cotton and they feel lovely and soft and definitely durable. I'm not stating that I don't like Primark, but you can tell these T-shirts aren't of that quality, these are made to last.

This is the first t-shirt, which is a navy blue tank style top. The print looks very 'high school preppy' and makes me think of that song by Marina and The Diamonds - Hollywood for some reason.  This is my friend Hannah modeling the top as it suited her extremely well and unfortunately was slightly too big for me. Over all, this top is really cute for the summer, with a cute and fun print. Teamed up with a pair of shorts and some oversized sunnies, this will be perfect for the beach and the fun festivals of 2011.

Here I am wearing this pink little beauty. This top states the name of the brand which is "The Rock Boutique" and has the word Hollywood yet again on the front. The colour is bright and bubbly and like the T-shirt mentioned above, will look great with a pair of jeans for a casual, trendy look or perfect with shorts for a festival vibe.

This third t-shirt has to be my all time favourite. I can see myself wearing it on a weekly basis and it focuses around everything feminine - a glitter love heart, two beautiful doves and the words "Rock Boutique" curved around the image. The colour is plain white, which means it is versatile and can be used with many different items and the image and text colour is a beautiful purple.  I wore this t-shirt today with some wet-look leggings, a pair of black heels, some sunnies and an oversized bag. If you want to look casual yet chic, you could wear this with a beautiful little blazer or dress it down by wearing a simple jeans and t-shirt combo.

If you're heading down to London or already live there, I would definitely go visit this store or check them out online. Admittedly, I'm not usually a t-shirt person, but I love this style.
